I have had the very good fortune both to take one-time classes from some of the 'giants' of the art quilt world and to have taken monthly master classes with Beatriz Grayson for nearly 12 years.
Beatriz retired from teaching in Spring 2017. Several of her students wanted to continue to study fabric art. Bea asked me if I might be interested in taking over teaching her methods of FabriCollage.
I attended several classes as a co-teacher/teaching assistant and was well received by her students prior to her retirement. It is with much gratitude for Bea's mentoring and encouragement that I have begun teaching classes as of Fall 2017.
I teach the classes in my home in Winchester MA. The classes meet once per month for 3 hours. There is a maximum of 6 students per class, to promote individual attention and group discussion. No sewing machines are needed. All materials are provided, but students are welcome to also bring their own materials if they are working on a specific art piece.
